Creative Work

The drawing is geometric analyzing the shape as a plane. It has a formal structure because the structural lines guide the formation of the design. It is an active structure because each object is divided from the others and forms its own space. This drawing has an invisible structure because the structural lines are conceptual lines.

We can see in this image a repetition of shape since we see the same repeated pattern of that material.

In this case we can see a repetition of color in the image.

Here, we can observe how two objects can be similar but not exactly the same: Similarity of shapes. In this case it is association because these two objects can be grouped by their similarity in their forms.

Exercise 1: Magazine Page Modification and Interpretation

In the original image, curved lines express sensuality and energy. In the photograph you can see the positive space is the face of the woman, however there is no negative space. The color highlights the beauty of the woman that is what the author is looking for through this photo. Have a smooth texture for your skin and hair.
In the modified image I added a negative space to the figure to give a contrast to the background figure, with the idea of highlighting the positive space. In this work I combined several faces of different women to express a change of promotion of makeups in the original photography to a theme of gender and race in my modified work. Here the shapes and colors are sharp. I made several vertical lines to express the strength and decision of the woman, also curved lines on the shoulders to show the energy. I put different colors to show the variety of races.
